East Coast Classic
Posted on: September 15, 2026 by Ian Boyle Share this postAs Autumn takes over, we realise we have summer news aplenty to update you on…so we thought we’d start at the beach, where the East Coast Classic took place on Sunday. This race formed one of the Lincolnshire Athletics county championship races.
LWAC were out in force and first person (and man) back was @willrs12 in 30:30, and Sylvia Parkinson couldn’t let her brother take too much of the limelight, crossing the line as first female in 39:38. Both also took the first place in the V40 category too.
Leigh MacDonald completed the course in 38:26 for eleventh place, with Jude Broadbent fifth lady home (2nd V40W) in 42:52. Dave Smith crossed the line in 59:30 as a V75M, with Jane Charlesworth for company in 59:32. Pam Baxter finished in 64:06 after multiple disruptions to her training over the last few weeks.
Welly took home the overall team prize, cumulatively finishing 8:19 ahead of runners-up, Louth AC.
Well done, LWAC!
