LWAC is Celebrating 115 Years!

LWAC is celebrating years!

As current holders of the Lincoln Civic Award, and with our 115th birthday this weekend (2026 has also brought Yarborough Leisure Centre’s 50th birthday, too), we thought we’d invite members, ex-members, friends, family, and anyone from the public to join the celebrations.

On Saturday only, between 10am-4pm, we’ll be in the historic Lincoln Guildhall (Stonebow), where you can see some of our historical artifacts, archives, memorabilia, and silverware in all of their glory, going back to the very inauguration of the club in 1911.

As you may know, our club doesn’t have a permanent place to call ‘our home’ for these precious and priceless items, and the City of Lincoln Council have been very generous in allowing us to have this space. So if you haven’t witnessed some of our awards and achievements, memories, and some rather quirky and peculiar keepsakes, then come and join us on Saturday and see them for yourself.

It would be great for those connected with the club, past, and present, as well as those looking to learn about our rich history, to take up this opportunity which doesn’t come around very often.
