Northern Track & Field League – Matchday 4

News aplenty to update you on of late (and somewhat earlier, too). Let’s start with the @northernathletics T&F Leagues final match day, hosted by @cityofyorkac @uniofyork

After a very slow start with poor numbers representing and participating, LWAC managed to turn it around in the fourth and final meeting, to finish second overall, behind a deserving winner in @cityofsheffieldac

We’ve made the decision to continue in the league for next season, as it has taken us 8 years to get to the Premier League, and having been crowned winners ourselves recently, we believe we can do it again when we can fill every event.

These meetings are not only competitive, but a great learning curve and bridging of the gap for those developing and wanting competition experience.

Points are awarded to teams/clubs, for including “A” & “B” competitors in each event, as well as for having appropriate officials throughout the matchdays. Parents and spectators are welcome to try this out, should they wish!

Well done to everyone who contributed this season, your efforts are very much appreciated! There were some absolutely incredible performances on the last day – we are very proud!

Stay tuned, as there was even a club record at this meeting…they said they would, and they did 🚀 ⚡
