Lincs Combined Events Championships Lincoln 22-23 May 2010 |

Over the very hot and humid weekend of 22nd/23rd May, the Lincolnshire Combined Events Championships took place on the Yarborough track in Lincoln.
For school-age competitors, the championships are the first round of competition where the first 4 athletes progress onwards to the Anglian Schools Championships, with the best 3 then going
on to the English Schools Championships in September. In the Year 8 and 9 Girls Pentathlon, Wellington athletes were well represented with Katie McMunn coming out on top with 2410pts, Sydney Cherrie 4th with 2249pts and Alison Mouzon 7th with 2058pts. In the Year 10 and 11 Women's Heptathlon, Hannah Dunderdale claimed 2nd place with 3164pts. Matthew Houlden claimed the Senior Boys Decathlon title, amassing 5352pts with Joe Dunderdale also qualifying, securing 3rd place with 4938pts. Joshua Houlden narrowly missed out, finishing 5th in the Year 10 and 11 Octathlon with 2540pts, despite not scoring at all in the Javelin. Haran Dunderdale won the Year 8 and 9 boys Pentathlon, with a club record 2174pts. |
