In the U17 Women's Hammer competition, a terrific throw of 44.15m by Sarah Stanhope gave her a new club record in that event but such was the quality of the opposition that this performance only placed her 8th overall.  A second club record went to Hannah Dunderdale who finished 8th in the U15 Girls Shot competition with a fine effort of 10.68m.  She went on to finish 12th in the Javelin with 33.12m and 5th in her heat of the 75m Hurdles in personal best 12.06s - just missing out on a place in the final.  Another personal best went to the rapidly improving Emma Tonner, who ran extremely well in a very hot U15 Girls 1500m to finish 7th in an excellent time of 4m 46.34s.  Dominic Sykes was just outside his best with 50.47m in the U15 Boys Hammer, but this was good enough to give him a very creditable 4th place.  Joe Dunderdale was also just off his personal best in the U17 Mens Javelin, but 53.57m for 7th place still underlined his position close to the best of his age.
