| Top Lincoln Wellington endurance runner Matt Bowser has launched the serious phase of his track season with a very promising run in a 1500m race at the recent Loughborough International Meeting. After a successful pipe opener at the Lincolnshire County Championships where he comfortably won the 800m and 1500m titles, this event was a significant step up in class. However, despite very strong winds having a significant effect on all the middle distance times, he finished a close 4th in a good early season time of 3m 47.9s – his best by some way at this early stage of the season. After this run, Bowser is in confident mood that his seasonal target of a time approaching 3m 40s for 1500m is within his scope. |
