Lincoln Wellington athlete Hannah Dunderdale competed in the Northern Indoor Championships at Sheffield.
Hannah started the day with a comfortable victory in her 60mH heat, easing down over the line in a PB of 9.80s.
A clash in the timetable then led to Hannah competing in her Hurdles Final, Shot and Long Jump in a 15 minute period.
Unfortunately, in the 60m Hurdle final despite a good start Hannah didn’t give herself enough room to clear the first Hurdle and in desperation she chose to plough through
it, leading to disqualification.
To her credit, with a quick change of shoes she managed to throw 9.50m with her first attempt in the Shot and then, after another change of footwear, in the first round of the Long Jump she leapt out to 4.60m.
Hannah got back to the Shot for her last 2 throws and improved her effort with another
PB measuring 9.80m lifting her to 3rd place in an event dominated by specialist throwers.
She then returned to the Long Jump and performed well again achieving another
PB, with a jump of 4.88m which was good enough to take 3rd place in a competitive field.
