LWAC - Lincs Pole Vault and Hammer Championships - Boston

Wellington athletes produced some good results at the delayed Lincolnshire County Championships for hammer and pole vault. Adey White cleared 2.80m to take gold in the veteran men’s contest and there was also gold for Josh Spering in the under 20 event with 2.60m. Gavin Campbell was runner-up in this event with a personal best 2.40m. A final pole vault medal went to Hayley Fox with 2.30m in the senior women’s competition.

Laura Maplethorpe was the star hammer thrower with a personal best and club record throw of 26.63m for the bronze medal. Hayley Fox added to her pole vault medal by taking senior women’s silver in the hammer with 22.71m and Kathy Warhurst also picked up silver in the veteran’s event with a throw of 18.94m.
