LWAC - BMAF Indoor Championships - Lee Valley

Six Wellington athletes travelled to Enfield at the weekend and competed in the British Masters Indoor Championships, bringing home a haul of medals. The results are as detailed below:-

Womens 35 60m Sharon Waller 3rd Time 9.40s Bronze Medal
Womens 45 60m Denise Timmis 5th Time 8.99s
Womens 65 60m Dorothy Fraser 2nd Time 10.51s Silver Medal
Mens 45 60m Malcolm Bramhall 5th Time 7.73s PB

Womens 45 200m Denise Timmis 5th Time 29.89s
Womens 65 200m Dorothy Fraser 2nd Time 35.77s Silver Medal
Mens 45 200m Malcolm Bramhall Time 25.08s (25.05s in heat)

Womens 65 400m Dorothy Fraser 2nd Time 86.86s Silver Medal
Mens 45 400m Malcolm Bramhall 3rd Time 55.50s Bronze Medal

Mens 45 800m Adie Marston 4th Time 2m 07.27s. Adie came first in the heat with a time of 2m 06.43s. He lead all the way for 300m and got blocked in at the finish. He did however achieve a personal best

Womens 65 1500m Betty Stracey 3rd Time 6m 56.50s Bronze Medal

Womens 45 Long Jump Denise Timmis 2nd 4.43m Silver Medal

The athletes are now looking forward to going to the European Indoor Championships in Helsinki later this month.
