For the u11s, Bo Haywood convincingly took first place in a time of 5m 53s,
shortly followed by Abbie Donnelly in 4th place in 6m 31s, Rhiannon Philps 11th in
6m 57s and Beth Wain finishing in 12th place in 7m 02s.
In the U11 boys race, the Lincoln Wellies finished in trio form, with Haran
Dunderdale coming first place in a time of 5m 34s, Alex Humberstone second in
5m 41s and closely behind him Dylan Love in third place with 5m 46s.
Representing the u13s girls, Vicki Lawrence was in great form
finishing in second place in 10m 16s, Megan Ball third in 11m 06s, Laura
Donnelly sixth with 11m 26s splitting the difference with Sheridan McWilliam seventh with
11m 28s,
followed by Sam Noon 12th 11m 49s, Jasmine Cornwell 13th 11m 58s, Katy McMunn
16th 12m 25s, Becky Wells 17th 12m 47s and Lindsay Campbell 20th in 13m 50s.
For the boy's Adam Taylor crossed the finish line in 7th place in 10m 28s, Josh Malt in 13th
12m 04s just beating his brother Connor
Malt who finished in 15th in 12m 12s.
In the u15 races, Jack Skeet and Georgia Ball both brought 1st places home for
LWAC, Jack in 15m 49s and Georgia with a clear
lead in 13m 59s, Neil Humberstone came in second LWAC in 18th
place in a time of 20m 24s followed by Sam Manders in 20th place in 21m
49s. Georgia was followed by Ellie Jones in 7th place in 16m 00s, Holly Haywood in 9th
16m 40s and Laura McMunn in 14th with 17m 32s.
Moving on to the u17s, only two Lincoln lads and one lady competed. Shane Robinson finishing the tough course in 4th place with
22m 54s, and
Jack Cornwell in 15th place in 26m 34s. The only u17 lady to run the
enduring course for LWAC was Sarah Davey, who competed with great
strength to cross the line in 2nd place in 19m 37s.
The Ladies had some very good performances with Harriet Canter a field
ahead of them all in first place in 24m 46s, second place going to
Lucinda Pitcher also having created her own space in 25m 56s and Sarah
Kimpton following in the same style in 4th place in 27m 01s. Susie Ardron
was very satisfied with her result finishing in 6th place in 28m 24s
closely followed by Becky Rowley 7th place in 28m 33s. Silvia Strangeway
came in 19th place in 32m 51s with Pat Kimpton finishing 22nd in 36m
56s. Finally for LWAC, Dot Fraser completed the
course, crossing the finish line for a big hug from her
grand-daughter in 41m 14s.
Finally the Mens race. Andrew Swearman s/m had a fine finish coming second in
35m 52s, whilst Mick Jagger caused some worry for the club's onlookers as, when he ran through the sea, he slightly went off, dis-orientated
falling into deeper water and disappearing from sight for a few seconds, to
then come back and finish in 4th place. The overall positioning for the
u20, senior and vet men
were confirmed with Ashley Smith u20 7th place 37m 38s, Daniel Roome u20 8th
37m 46s, Andy Dunderdale v/m 9th 37m 55s, Adie Marston v/m 13th 38m 35s, John
Holmes v/m 24th 41m 23s, Geoff Powley v/m 47th 46m 40s,and finally
Simon Machin s/m 49th in 47m 24s.

Match 1, Skegness

Lincoln Wellington AC athletes got off to a great start to
the cross country season. With the weather still being kind, the first
contingency of athletes gathered at the east coast on Sunday 8th October
for the first Lincs League XC of the four-match season. The races were
held at Princess Parade, Skegness
over the beach and dunes with a short distance through the sea.
