Accompanied by their coaches three club records were taken, the first being by
Blue Haywood in the Mile for U17 women. Still in the first year of her age group she ran a very confident race and looked strong throughout, completing the
race in a time of 5m 10.05s in 2nd place.
Second onto the start line for the Wellies was Jack Skeet also running the Mile and breaking the LWAC club record. The U15 grouping was tough but Jack managed to finish the race with a time of
4m 52.38s.
Tom Doe running in the senior men's age group then broke another record by competing in the 3000m steeplechase, coming round the final corner after several jumps through the water pit and with the wind in his face he came in with a time of
9m 10.85s in 5th place.
Also competing in their first Grand Prix, Lara Thomas, Hester Talbot and Matt Bowser who all took to the highly competitive races, Lara U17W, in the 800m came 5th out of nine and despite the breeze did very well in a time of
2m 20.6s, And Hester U15 who also took part in the 800m finished with one of her best times of the season also in 5th place out of nine, with a time of
2m 27.5s.
Finally for the Lincoln Wellington Athlete's Matt stood at the start line of the senior men's 1500m, having waited some time for his race and the weather not being ideal conditions, he still managed a very good race coming 6th in a time of
3m 50.6s.
