On Saturday 5th August nine LWAC athletes crossed the Humber Bridge to compete in the final Humberside League Meeting of the year at Hull. Katie McMunn, Laura McMunn, Katie Pollard, Jack Pollard and Rhiannon Philps all did exceptionally well in their first competitive events. 
Katie McMunn, Rhiannon, Jack and Haran Dunderdale competed in the U11 age group. Katie broke the club record in the 75m with a time of 11.9s which she followed up with a 23.4s - 150m and 2:04.3 – 600m. Rhiannon ran a strong 24.1s – 150m and 2:08.4 - 600m. The boys made up the 20 athletes that competed in the triathlon which consisted of running either 100m 0r 800m, throwing the Whizzer and the Long Jump. Jack who is only approaching 9 years ran 17.4s – 100m, threw 23.62m and jumped 3.26m. Haran won the event with 2m 42.5s - 800m, threw 35.59m and jumped 3.65m.
Vicki Lawrence, Hannah Dunderdale and Katie Pollard competed in the U13 age group. They finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 75m in 11.0s, 11.5s, 11.9s, respectfully. Hannah then competed in the Discus throwing 21.32m while Katie ran a good 150m in 23.1s. Katie and then took part in the Long Jump gaining 4.09m; a close second behind Vicki who recorded 4.13m. Vicki and Hannah ran in the 800m in times of 2:34.3 and 2:51.1.
Laura McMunn and Joe Dunderdale competed in the U15 age group. Laura ran in both the 100m and 200m in times of 15.4s and 31.5s. Joe took on the Shot – 7.68m, Javelin – 31.02m and Discus 21.34m.
Finally Laura, Katie P, Katie M and Vicki formed a LWAC Relay team and ran very well finishing 2nd only just behind an U13 Boys team.
