Two athletes from LWAC competed in the U17 & U15 Championships at Birmingham Alexander Stadium.

Blue Haywood, who is in her first season as an U17, joined fourteen other athletes in the straight final of the 3000m race.  Running strongly throughout the race, she crossed the line in a very impressive 2nd place with a new PB time of 9m 47.2s.

Jack Skeet had his work cut out as the LWAC U15 athlete in the heats of the 800m. Chosen for heat 2, he took his place with seven others to finish 3rd in 2m 04.5s, qualifying for the final later the same day.
Keeping himself calm, Jack ran a fantastic final in the 800m.  Gaining confidence as he ran down the last 100m, he crossed over the line in 2nd place achieving a new PB of 2m 03.24s.
