The three races of the day have to be firstly Hannah Dunderdale achieving a grade 1 standard for her 70m Hurdles in 12.0sec, as she approached the finishing line she tripped over grazing herself quite badly but still finished in first place, she was also awarded the female athlete of the match.

Secondly U15girls 800m Rebecca Dobson was hoping for a good race so as to get a personal best, as Rebecca came round the 700m mark she started to take off into a sprint finish. She achieved more than she expected with 1st place in 2.23.3sec, gaining a grade 2 and a new personal best.

Thirdly again the u15girls, this time the 1500m, Georgia Ball and Hester Talbot, both set out for a determined race, following each other around the track as they came to the final 200m, the race came alive as both set out to win, as Hester came up on Georgia's shoulder both were fighting to sprint for the line, neck and neck they ran into the straight and it was only with 50m left to go that Georgia edged slightly in front to win the race in 5.02.1sec -grade 3, and Hester 2nd in 5.04.4sec also a grade 3 award a new personal best.

Other athletes gaining graded standards were: Tom Straw u17m 800m 2.10.2sec-grade 4;Joe Ginniff u15b 100m 12.8sec-grade 4, 200m 26.6sec-grade 4;Neil Humberstone u15 400m 60.2- grade 4;Jonathon Humberstone u15 400m 60.3sec- grade 4, 800m 2.16sec grade 3;Max Brufton u13 shot putt 6.26m grade 4; Lara Thomas u17w 300m 45.0sec grade 4, 300m hurdles 51.7sec grade 4; Siobhan Wasyliw u17w 800m 2.33.4sec grade 4;Mary-Ann Phillips u15g 100m 13.2sec grade 3, 200m 27.4sec grade 3;Shireen Timmis u15g 100m 13.7sec grade 4;Caitlin Lynch u13g 75m 11.4sec grade 4, Long Jump 3.61m grade 4; Vicki Lawrence u13g 150m 20.6sec grade 2, High Jump 1.30m grade 3 and Shot putt 6.81m grade 3; Megan Ball u13g 800m 2.37.1sec grade 2; Hannah Dunderdale u13g 1200m 4.17 grade 3; Laura Donnelly u13g 1200m 4.23sec grade 3.

Well done also to all the other LWAC athletes who took part in making this a terrific day of events and without them the club would not have been able to compete in as many events as we did and as a team effort all contributed to the club finishing in joint first place.
