In the 200m races, Rebecca Wells came across the line in 3rd place in a time of 34:4sec, whilst the u15 did very well in the
heats after the two of the three runners less than a hour previously ran in other races with Hester Talbot getting 30:6sec in heat 1, Hester qualifying for the final and finishing in 6th also in a time of 30:6sec.
But the star of the u15 girls 200m was Mary-Ann Philips qualifying for the final with 2nd place at 28:9sec and completing
the final in a time of 27:8sec in first place.
U17w 300m Ellie Clarke finished in a time of 45:4sec, Senior Ladies Liz Ward and Tertia Ritchie both did the 400m Liz
getting 2nd place in 62:9, and Tertia 66:0sec. U15boys 400m- Joseph Warriner 2nd in 61:2sec, Adam Webb 3rd in 62:5sec and
Joe Dunderdale 6th in 66:3sec. U17 men's 400m Joshua Spering 6th in 59:6sec, Matthew Richardson 5th in 59:5sec and another
fantastic run for Joshua Bowden finishing in 1st with a time of 55:6sec.For the V45 men Malcolm Bramhall came 1st in a time
of 57:5sec.
Megan Ball took to the start line expecting to run along others in her age group to find she was the only u13 girl to do the
800m so she ran with the U13 boys smiling all the way round!! and finished in 1st for u13 girls and 2nd out of the mixed
final in a time of 2:39.3sec. LWAC dominated the U15 girls 800m with five of the first six home - 1st Georgia Ball
2:29.1sec, 3rd Hester Talbot in 2:39.6sec, 4th Jessica Farnsworth in 2:43.4sec and Ellie
Jones 6th in 2:44.5sec. In the U17w 800m Lara Thomas had what was probably the race of the day after storming home in a
thrilling final 30m with the County Athlete of the Year runner Rochelle Harrison of Louth winning the race by only a stride
in a time of 2:19.9sec also being the first time she has run sub 2:20, and setting her personal best.
1500m - U13 girls had a brilliant race with all but one of the first six places going to LWAC. Megan Ball 1st in 5:23.2sec,
Hannah Dunderdale 2nd in 5:28.3sec, Vicki Lawrence 3rd in 5:31.7sec, Laura Donnelly 5th in 6:02.9sec and Samantha Hood 6th
in 6:38.7sec.
3000m - Harriet Needham and Sarah Kimpton ran in the U20s. Harriet in 11:17.1sec for 1st place and Sarah in 12:10sec for
3rd. Lucinda Pitcher took 1st SW place in 10:41.9sec.
70m Hurdles also saw a new club record for Hannah Dunderdale in the U13girls finishing in 2nd place in 12:5sec, 300mH Becki
Jones came 1st in 49:1sec and the u17men's Josh Bowden 1st in 63:5.
The 4x400m relays U15 boys came 1st in a time of 4:14.4sec and the U17/u15B also in 1st place with 3:58.6sec.
High Jump was the Dunderdale's category with U13g Hannah in 3rd at 1.31m and Joe U15b at 1.30m, whilst in the Long Jump the
final standings were U13girls: Hannah Dunderdale 2nd with 4.19m, Vicki Lawrence 4th with 4.06m, Caitlin Lynch 5th with
3.94m and Rebecca Wells with3.59m, for the U15 girls Mary-Ann Philips came 4th with 4.03m for the U20W Lydia Chamberlin
jumped 5.16m 1st place, SW Jenny Pacey 5.21m 2nd place, and for the V45W Dennis Timmis jumped 4.33m 1st place.
Long Jump for the U15 boys - Joe Dunderdale 4.31m, Adam Webb 4.27m, and Ben Hulme with 3.99m.
Triple Jump results are Liz Samways U20W 7.87m 1st place, Adam Webb U15B 9.30m and Joe Dunderdale U15B 9.13m.
The Pole Vault event was very successful for LWAC athletes with Natalie Jones U17W jumping 1.70m 1st place, Hayley Fox SW
jumping 2.30m 1st place and Adrian White V35M claiming a club record with a fantastic jump of 3.00m.
Joe Dunderdale U15 also competed in the Discus getting 18.92m 3rd, and the Javelin throwing 25.19m 2nd place, with his
sister Hannah Dunderdale U13G throwing 7.78m 1st place in the Shot Put along with Lydia Chamberlin U20W throwing 10.49m
2nd place, and finally Kathleen Warhurst V40W took part in the Hammer achieving 1st place with a throw of 14.54m.
Grantham

County athletes gathered at the weekend in Grantham to take part in this years County Track and Field Championships held at
the South Kesteven Stadium, Lincoln Wellington AC had a very strong team in all age groups and, after a drizzly start,
activities got under way to produce some excellent races and field events: In the 100m, Caitlin Lynch u13 finished well in
the final in 3rd place 14:2, followed by Vicki Lawrence in a time of 14:7sec, Mary-Ann Philips u15 qualified for the 100m
final and finished in 2nd place in a time of 13:5sec, whilst in the u17w Becki Jones finished in 4th at 13:4sec. In the
u15boys 100m, Neil Humberstone ran 12:9 in his heat, Joseph Warriner got through to the final along with Joe Ginniff. Joseph
finishing in a time of 12:6sec 4th, and Joe in a time of 12:8sec 5th.The u17m was run as a straight final with Matthew
Richardson crossing the finish line in 4th place in a time of 12:3sec.
Also in the 200m Dot Fraser V65w (still going very strong!) crossed the finish line in a time of 36:1sec. In the final for
the u15 boys Neil Humberstone came 5th in 26:9sec and Joseph Warriner finished in 2nd place in 26.4sec, whilst Joshua Bowden
u17men had a straight final finishing in 25:9sec and Jim Slater, our only senior man, to compete finished in 26:6sec.
U20w 800m - Layla Moore came in in 2nd place with a time of 2:46.4, and SW Sarah Coates and Tertia Ritchie finished in 1st
and 2nd in the SW800m with 2:32.4 and 2:34.1sec respectively.
800m U15 boys- Jack Skeet ran a fantastic time of 2:11.1sec being 1st, Jonathon Humberstone 2:17 4th, and Jack Thomas 5th
in 2:20.4sec.
U17m- Henry Naughton 2:19sec and Ben Cross 2:19.3sec and Shane Robinson came 3rd in 2:16.3sec.
U20m- Chris Fullerton 5th in 2:09.4sec, Mark Plaskett 4th in 2:03.5sec and Steve Gregory finished in fantastic time in 1st
place setting a new county record of 1:56.2sec.
U15 girls- Again a succession of LWAC athletes came in the first five places: Georgia Ball 1st in 4:57.4sec, Hester Talbot
2nd in 5:11.7sec, Rebecca Dobson 4th in 5:17.4sec and Chelsea Coyle 5th in 5:17.4sec.
U17w - Lara Thomas 1st in 5:01.4sec and April Bontoft 3rd in 6:18.4sec.
U20w - Harriet Needham came in 1st place 5:08.4sec and Layla Moore finishing 2nd place in a time of 5:51.7sec, U45w - Susie
Ardron also finished in 1st place in a time of 5:31.9sec.
The mens 1500m results are, U15 Jack Skeet 4:30.2sec, Stuart Campbell 2nd in 4:40.9sec and Jonathon Humberstone 5th in
4:47.5sec, U17s - Ben Rowe 6th in 5:02.6sec and Joshua Spering 7th in 5:03.1sec, U20s - Joshua Stone 2nd in 4:19.5sec and
Chris Fullerton 4th in 4:33.4sec, for the V45m Gary Heath came 1st in a time of 4:38.8sec.
U15 boys saw 1st place going to Jonathon Humberstone in 10:14.3sec, 2nd Jack Thomas in 10:24.6sec, and 4th Joe Dunderdale
in 11:01.5sec. In the U20s 5000m, Joshua Stone finished 1st in 16:29.7sec, 2nd Danny Roome in 17:12sec and Ashley Smith
4th in 17:57.3sec. In the senior mens 5000m, Matt Bowser finished in 1st place with 14:59.2sec and Mark Baddeley 2nd place
in 15.30.8sec. Gary Heath set a new V45m club record in a time of 17:46.3sec finishing in 2nd place.
Ryan Smith U17m competed in the 1500m S/chase finishing in 3rd in 5:17.8sec and Tom Herbert U20m in the 2000m S/chase 1st
in 6:30.6sec and Ashley Smith 2nd in 7:00.5sec.
