First event on the track was the 100m. Josina Clarke and Bo Haywood both took part in this event. In one of the early races Bo (U11) ran
a time of 18 seconds to finish 8th, and Josina (U17) ran in the 8th race to finish first with a new PB of 13.5.
The next event was the 800m. Lincoln Wellington had a total of twelve athletes in these races. Competing in the first race was Catrina
Thomas (U11) and Bo Haywood. Catrina ran well to finish with a time of 3.07, while Bo Haywood ran a good race to get a new PB of 3.01. The
next few races consisted of Haran Dunderdale, Hannah Dunderdale and Joe Dunderdale. Haran started off the evening competing in the discus
where he threw 15.44 then he went on to run 2.49.4 in the 800m, Hannah and Joe also did
threw the discus 17.29 and 16.00 respectively,
they also competed in the shot and the 800m, with Hannah throwing 6.00 in the shot and running 2.39.3 in the 800m. Joe threw 5.95 in the
shot and ran 2.34.2 in the 800m. The next race on the track consisted of Susie Ardron and Kathy Warhurst, Susie ran well to finish 4th with
a new PB of 2.43, while Kathy ran 2.49.9. The next race contained the most Lincoln Wellington athletes. Henry Naughton finished his debut
race in a sprint finish to clinch victory in a time of 2.26.6, next to finish was Blue Haywood who ran a new PB in 2.28.6, the next athlete
in was Phil Ardron who just missed a PB to finish in a time of 2.30.5 to finish 6th and Ellie Clarke ran a time of 2.32.8. The final LWAC
athlete competing in the 800m was Lara Thomas who ran a time of 2.27.4.
The last event of the day was the 200m in which three athletes competed, Alex Thomas, Josina Clarke and Catrina Thomas. Catrina ran well
to take two seconds off her PB with a time of 36.5. Next to compete was Josina who ran another PB of 27.9 to finish second and finally
Alex ran 26.3, to also finish 2nd. at website@lwac.org.uk

On a pleasant warm Wednesday evening, a group of Lincoln Wellington athletes travelled down to Loughborough University for the Charnwood
AC open graded meeting.
