Race distances varied from 1815metres to nearly 10k. The course took place through four fields and around Louth athletic
pitch. Most of the course was flat and grassy with the occasional mound, except one field, which had a long ascent.
The U11s ran non-championship races. Three talented young ladies, Hannah Dunderdale,
Megan
Ball and Vicki Lawrence finished 1st, 2nd and 5th out of nine finishers. The three of them picked up the team award with
Dunderdale finishing the course of 1815 metres in 9 minuets 39. M. Ball and Lawrence followed soon after in 10.10 and 11.38.
In the boys category H. Dunderdale came 2nd out of 8 finishers in under ten minutes - 9.34.
Next up were the senior men who had to complete the full course 3 times totalling to 9814 metres. Eight men ran from Lincoln
Wellington in the U20s, senior men and the veteran men groups. Will Strangeway and Ian Kimpton

2nd, crossing the line in 35.50 and 36.32. Also coming first in the team
competition were three senior men, Matt Bowser (1st), Mark Baddeley (5th) and
Roy Smith (6th). They completed the course
with fast results of 33.11, 35.59 and 36.32. Graham Wright finished 12th
in 38.26. In the same race two veteran men, Steve Campion and Dave Strangeway came 10th
and 32nd timing in at 43.43 and 54.15.
The U13 girls set off two minutes after the senior men, and did very well, picking up the top four positions and 1st team.
Georgia Ball, Hester Talbot, Chelsea Coyle and Jess Farnsworth achieved times of: 13.13, 13.26,
13.53 and 15.13.
The U13 boys did equally as well not only winning the first team but also having
the 2nd fastest team too! The seven boys
dominated the race: Jack Skeet (1st - 12.01), Joe Dunderdale (2nd - 13.13), Jonathon Humberstone (3rd - 13.25), Alex Jackson
(6th - 14.30), Matt Brinicombe (7th - 14.34), Neil Humberstone (8th - 14.45) and

The U15 boys and girls raced last, still with a strong wind blowing about the course. Racing on the same course the senior
women had, Jake Coyle and Jack Ramsden were 6th and 7th. Jake had a time of 18.34 and Jack's was 18.52.
In the final race, the girls ran 3580metres. Lara Thomas, Becki Jones and Helen Penistan came 1st, 2nd and 5th. Lara was just under 15 minutes

16 January 2005
Forty-eight Lincoln Wellington athletes took part in the county champs race on Sunday 16th of January 2005. The runners and
the spectators were fortunate to have ideal conditions on both parts; there wasn't a large amount of wind, there was no
wintry coldness you'd expect at this time of year and the ground was dry.
