A notable performance by a Wellington athlete has come from Geoff Powley who has comfortably retained his British Masters
Pentathlon title. His 200m time of 24.8 was a personal best as was his discus throw of 28.78m. He also recorded 5.25m in the
long jump, 39.91m in the javelin and 5.01.5 in the 1500m. This gave him a
total of 2930 points, more than 270 points ahead of his nearest rival.
