There were several notable Wellington performances in the London Marathon. Simon Bell had a good run to finish 101st overall
in 2.36.45. Veteran Jim Edwards produced another top class effort to cross the line in 3.15.41 just ahead of the considerably
younger Anthony Gerundini who stopped the clock at 3.16.06. There was an eye catching performance from 19 year old Jo Blackburn
to finish 166th in the women's race in a very creditable time of 3.17.35. Dave Humberstone was pleased with 3.22.08 a few
days after his 40th birthday. And other club members to compete were Steve Campion (3.28.48), Russ Haywood (3.55.25), Brian
Fox (3.59.59), Jo Campion (4.14.57) and Danni Whitehouse (5.00.21).
