At the same meeting Geoff Powley produced some excellent results in the M40 category. He finished 12th in the
pentathlon with a personal best 3292 points total and set four club
records. He completed a hectic few days by contesting four individual
events. His time of 57.08 was a personal best in the 400m and he also recorded 8.12 in the
60m (another club record), 5.51m in the long jump and

Lincoln Wellington veteran Dorothy Fraser shrugged off a leg injury to add another brace of medals to her collection at the
European Veterans Indoor Championships in Spain. She sustained the injury problem whilst competing in the 60 metres in which
she finished in 4th place in 10.42 seconds. But she then went on to finish 2nd in the 200m in 35.46 and 3rd in the 400m in
81.68. Betty Stracey had a good run for 6th spot in the F60 3000m in a time of 14.15 and she was also 6th
in the 1500m in 6.48.66.
