Ken was a competing member of a Wellington senior men's team which won many titles on the track, on the roads and across the country and, on terminating his competitive career, he gave countless hours to the club's cause as both a coach and official. Although unable to get to the track so often in recent times, Ken still did sterling work for the club by maintaining records of results and preparing annual AAA's Five Star Certificates for the younger athletes. He will be greatly missed by everyone associated with Lincoln Wellington.

Ken's funeral will take place at Lincoln Crematorium at 3.10pm on Thursday January 30th and afterwards at Ruston Marconi Sports Club on Newark Road. Joan has asked it to be made clear that all his many friends and associates are invited to attend.
