AAA U17 Championships
Birmingham
10-11 August 2002

Lincoln Wellington's Rachael Nathan added another championship to her growing portfolio when she ran away with the under 17 women's 3000 metres race at the AAA's meeting at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium. She went to the front after 200 metres and was soon a long way clear. No one was able to mount a serious challenge in the later stages and she crossed the line in isolation in a time of 9 minutes 55.4 seconds with her nearest pursuer about 100 metres in arrears.
