Lincoln Wellington veteran Dot Fraser continued a successful season for the club's athletes by collecting a trio of gold
medals in the F65 category at the British Veterans Championships. She won the 400 metres title in a British record 78.25
seconds and then added victories in the 100m in 16.77 and the 200m in 35.1. Betty Stracey had to combat roasting conditions
in the 1500m but kept going well for a bronze medal in 6.42.38 Jackie Brown lined up with a good medal chance in the F35
800m. A slowly run first lap was not in her favour however and in the sprint for the line she eventually finished 4th in
2.22.0 - some way off her season's best time. Denise Timmis competed in two events in the F40 category and finished 4th in
the long jump with 4.77m and 7th in the 100m in 14.17.
