Four of Wellington's middle distance squad competed at a British Milers Club meeting at Stretford, Manchester and all four
returned with outstanding results. In the A 1500m Matt Bowser produced a superb personal best
and club record of 3.48.1 to finish in 2nd
place and confirm his number two position for the distance in the current national rankings for under 20's. Gary Johnson ran
a well paced race in the B 800m and dipped under the two minute barrier for the first time
this year with a great run and new PB in 1.58.3.
Richard Blagrove proved his fitness is returning after injury with an excellent time of 1.54.48 in the A 800m and in one of
the graded 800m races Jacqui Brown ran her 2nd fastest time ever to finish 4th in a splendid time of
2.17.5, a new club record at V35.
