In the 25k race Jim Edwards did well to finish 87th in 1.51.54 with Brian Fox 129th in 1.57.59. Anne Gilroy
took 15th place in the women's race over the longer distance in 2.04.24.

Bruges, Belgium

A group of Wellington athletes competed in the veterans grand prix road races in
Bruges. In the 10 kilometre race Annette
Bell was 5th women home in a field of 217 in a time of 39 minutes 25 seconds. Kathy Warhurst was close behind in 7th in her
best recent time of 40.19 and Brenda Edwards picked up 134th place in 61.25. In the men's race Larry Allen crossed the line
331st in 55.30.
