Bedford

The Wellington veteran squad had a rewarding visit to the Eastern Veterans Track and Field Championships at Bedford. Dot
Fraser scored a hat-trick of victories in the F65 category with 17.5 in the 100m, 35.5 in the 200m and 83.2 in the 400m.
There were also a couple of wins for Betty Stracey in the F60 age group with 6.48.7 in the 1500m and 24.20.0 in the 5000m.
Denise Timmis won the F40 long jump with 4.75m and was 2nd in the 100m in 13.8. And a final win went to Malc Bramhall in the
M40 400m in 53.9 which he followed up with 2nd place in the 200m in 24.6 and 3rd in the 100m in 12.0.
