An outstanding Lincoln Wellington junior performance has come from Jenny Pacey, who has taken another significant step up the heptathlon rankings.

Competing in the Midland Counties Open Championship at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham she achieved a total score of 4318 points for second place overall to improve her previous best performance in the event.

Her best individual performance came in the high jump where a clearance of 1.65m gave her 795 points. A time of 26.77 seconds in the 200m scored 731 points and 16.16 in the 100m hurdles was good enough for a further 695 points. A season's best time of 2.38.89 in the 800m for 586 points and this was followed by 10.57m in the shot (567 points) and 5.00m in the long jump (559 points). Her one slightly disappointing performance came in the javelin where a throw of 25.17m scored 385 points.
