At the AAA's under 20 indoors championships at Cardiff multi-eventer Jenny Pacey saw off the opposition in great style to become the new National pentathlon champion in her age group. In the 60 metres hurdles she recorded a personal best time of 9.58 seconds and she followed this up with 9.65 metres in the shot, 1.62 metres in the high jump, 5.15m in the long jump and 2.43.25 in the 800 metres. These results gave her a total points score of 3195 and a margin of 64 points over her nearest rival. Her next target is to defend the Northern indoors under 20 pentathlon title which she won last year.
