There was a disappointing outcome to Matt Bowser's latest run in a Great Britain vest. Competing in the Norwich Union sponsored under 20 international in Lisbon, Portugal he was going comfortably on the heels of the leading trio when he was tripped and took a heavy fall. Despite being badly winded he got himself back in the race and made a lot of progress through the field in the closing stages to finish a close 7th. Fortunately no serious damage was done and he is now looking forward to running the Inter Counties race at Nottingham which is the GB trial for the World cross country championships in Dublin in March.
