A winner on three previous occasions, Simon Bell had to settle for fourth
place in a time of 32.48. Dean Houlton's training had been halted by a hamstring injury over the
Christmas period so he made a cautious start, working through the field to
finish in a good time of 34.35 for 10th spot. Annette Bell was the fourth lady to cross the line in 37th place in a time of
39.09. Evergreen Jim Edwards once again took the over-60's with a splendid time of
39.42. Also in the prizes came Anne Gilroy, winning the over-45's section in 44.42. Completing the Wellington turnout were Jim Diamond, who gained several places
in the last two miles to finish in a pleasing time of 47.44, and Brian Fox, who
took the race as a training run after recent injury.

Lincoln Wellington athletes once again made a good start to the New Year with
some good performances in the Cleethorpes 10k.
