| Thursday 4th March 2010: Congratulations to Rhiannon Philps, who shattered her own club record for U15 Girls 800m when placing 5th in the England Athletics Indoor Championships at the NIA in Birmingham last Sunday with a time of 2m 21.28s. |
| Wednesday 3rd March 2010: The 2010 Northern T&F League will use the new 'No False Start' rules. See this document for background information. All athletes and Team Managers should make themselves familiar with the new rule. |
| Wednesday 3rd March 2010: The 2010 Lincolnshire Track and Field Championships will take place at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium, Grantham on Saturday 8th May and Sunday 9th May. The entry fee is £1.50 per event. LWAC members should register their interest with their coach. |

| Saturday 27th February 2010: The results of today's National XC Championships in Leeds are now online. Congratulations to the U20 Women's team of Lara Thomas, Georgia Ball, Rochelle Harrison and Sophie Cowper, who finished in an excellent 2nd place. |

| Sunday 7th February 2010: Stephen Read has 2 pairs of gloves found at the Northern Cross Country Championships, one pair are very small and black, the other pair are Adidas also black.
Also found at the track on Thursday 4th February was a girl's pink Adidas top. Please contact Stephen Read if you think any of these items belongs to you. |

| Friday 5th February 2010: We need at least 20 volunteers to help at the County XC Championships at Riseholme on Sunday 14th. Anybody who is able to help should email Alison Dale with their name and mobile number. Volunteers to arrived at Riseholme for 10am on the 14th. Refreshment vouchers will be given to al volunteers. |

follows:- * 515club Taster Session - training cancelled * Rob's Group - meet in foyer 6.15pm to 6.30pm * Gary Group - meet in foyer 6.20pm (bring trainers and spikes as training may be on grass) * Junior Sprint Group - training cancelled * Linda and Larry's Groups - training cancelled * Dave's Group - meet in foyer at 6.20pm for a road run, please wear bright clothing |

| Wednesday 13th January 2010: Could all coaches please make themselves available for a 10 minute meeting with Stephen Moore of England Athletics on Thursday 21st January at 6.20pm. Stephen will be talking about the Local Coach Development Programme. |

arrangements as follows:- * Rob's Group - meet in foyer 6.15pm to 6.30pm * Gary's Group - meet in foyer 6.20pm * Junior Sprint Group - meet outside West Hall of school for road run at 6.45pm, please wear bright clothing. * Linda and Larry's Group - indoor session in West Hall of school, meet in school hall for 6.30pm * Dave's Group - meet in foyer at 6.15pm * Senior Sprint Group - meet in foyer at normal time |
| Monday 11th January 2010: Transport for Northern Cross Country Championships in Blackburn on 23rd January - A 53 seat coach is available for this fixture - this will leave Yarborough Leisure Centre at 7.30am on Saturday 23rd January. This is open to all athletes, parents, coaches, supporters and officials. Cost is £10 per person (payable on the day) plus £5 for each additional family member (team managers travel free). To guarantee a place on the bus, please reserve your seats on the bus list which will be posted in the club hut from tonight. We would encourage as many people as possible to travel on the coach to assist in covering as much as the cost as possible. |
| Sunday 10th January 2010: With the very cold weather looking set to continue and therefore the likelihood that Yarborough track will remain closed next week, Rob's group will continue to meet in the Leisure Centre foyer at 6.15 - 6.30. Unless anything to the contrary appears on the website, there will be sessions on both Tuesday and Thursday next week. The same applies for Gary's group (meet at 6.20pm in the foyer if track closed). |

| Thursday 7th January 2010: Due to the continuing bad weather, the track is closed again tonight and several groups will not be training. The 515club Taster Session is cancelled. Linda's and Larry's groups will not be training. Darrell's Junior Sprint Group will not be training. The Senior Sprint Group will not be training. Anne Gilroy will attempt to get to Yarborough tonight to make a decision on whether the Road Group session will be cancelled - do not make the journey to Yarborough if you are not comfortable with the conditions. Rob's Group will be training tonight - meet in the foyer 6.15-6.30. Gary's Group will not be training tonight - however any that can get to Yarborough are welcome to join in with Rob's session on grass. Dave's Group will not be training. |
| Wednesday 6th January 2010: Due to the current state of the course and the forecast continuation of wintry weather, the County XC Championships scheduled for 10th January have been postponed. A new date for the meeting will be publicised when available. |
| Tuesday 5th January 2010: The track and cycle track at Yarborough are closed tonight due to snow. Rob Lewis's group will be training tonight and should meet at the Leisure Centre reception. Linda's and Larry's groups will not be training tonight. Gary Warhurst's group will also not be training tonight. Mark Baddeley's group should meet at the Leisure Centre reception. UPDATE - Darrell Helas's junior sprint group session is now also cancelled. The Throws Group is also cancelled. |
| Monday 4th January 2010: URGENT - Notice to all coaches and athletes that all entries for the National XC Championships must be with Dave Humberstone by this Thursday (7th). Dave also needs assistance with compiling the entries. Anybody who can help should email Dave or see him at training tomorrow night. |
