Saturday 10th July 2010:  Lincolnshire League - Match 3 - Sunday 11th July - Important Information - The third fixture of the series takes place on Sunday 11th at Grantham.  Athletes wishing to participate in this fixture must report to team managers Denise Timmis (Females) denise.timmis@lwac.org.uk or David Skinner (Males) david.skinner@lwac.org.uk on arrival.  Unfortunately, the league rules limit four entries per club per event in each age group.  In a few events, we may have more athletes wishing to participate than the allocated four.  In these circumstances, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis by the team managers.  On arrival you will then be registered and issued with a number (or bring along your number from the first fixture).  The cost is £2 per athlete match fee (£3 for senior/vet athletes) - payable to LWAC.  Athletes are requested to retain their number for the final fixture of the season.
The league is an ideal taster to competition for young athletes, the four athlete limit per event has been imposed by the organisers due to a shortage of officials.  If anyone, especially parents, are willing to try to assist in any of our fixtures as officials we would be glad to hear from you.  No previous experience is necessary we can arrange for free training for anyone willing to become qualified.  If you are interested in helping in any capacity, Marie Phillips our officials secretary marie.phillips@lwac.org.uk would be delighted to hear from you.

Sunday 6th June 2010:  Lincolnshire Police have contacted us to film the club on Thursday 11th June.  It should not interfere with training although they may ask for specific shots from one or two athletes.  Our welfare officer has contacted them and, as far as can be established, they are who they say they are.  They have been asked to show credentials on Thursday and they will ask for disclaimer to be signed by anyone being filmed.  If any coach or athlete has a problem please make sure you let them or your coach know.  The footage will be used for in house training by the police and not shown to the public.  We will be given a disk.
