Saturday 31st March 2007:
The annual LWAC Easter Egg Hunt will take place during the training
session on Thursday 5th April. Pyjamas can be worn as fancy
dress. For further information, speak to Alison Dale on Tuesday
evening or see the poster in the portacabin-hut thing.
Wednesday 28th March 2007:
Adie Marston reports on a highly successful visit by LWAC athletes to
the European
Veterans Indoor Championships in
Helsinki.
Particular mention must go to Dot Fraser, who left the meeting with 3
gold medals and one silver medal.
Sunday 25th March 2007:
Results from
today's Lincoln 10k are now available from the BBC Lincolnshire
website. A
list of performances by LWAC athletes is also available.

Results from today's English
Schools XC Championships in Leeds are now available on the ESAA
website.

Interested in Volunteering at the Lincoln 10k on March 25th (9 - 9.30am start)? Get involved in the action from the start
line .... or hand the medals out to the competitors as they cross the finish line!! All volunteers will receive a T-Shirt and a packed lunch. If you are interested in volunteering at one of Lincoln's top sporting events or know of anyone who might be interested please get in touch with

Cleethorpes Athletics Club are holding their Open Track
& Field meeting on 26th May 2007 and are a little short of Time keepers. If
you are able to help them out, contact their Secretary, Rachel
Swift. Cleethorpes AC will pay expenses.

Monday 29th January 2007:
Mark Baddeley has written a report on Saturday's Northern
XC Championships. Performances of the day were from Blue
Haywood, who finished 2nd in the U17 Womens race, the U15 Girls team
who placed 2nd, and the U15 Boys team who earned a surprise 3rd place.

held in

of today's North of England Cross Country Championships are now
available.
Thursday 25th January 2007:
UK Athletics are piloting a new Level 3 Endurance coach course.
Any existing Level 2 Endurance coaches are interested in attending
this free course should see the further
information about the course.
Sunday 21st January 2007:
LWAC's sole representative at the North of England Indoor Junior
Championships this weekend, Mary-ann Phillips, gained a new club
record with her performance in the final of the U15G 200m,
finishing in a time of 26.85s for 3rd place. She had already
easily won her heat in 27.14s. She also ran in the 60m race.
Tuesday 16th January 2007:
A copy of the November 2006 minutes of the LWAC committee is
available in the portacabin hut thing next to the track.

A link to Creative
Point Photography has been created in our links pages. They
have many photos of LWAC athletes competing in events in and around
Lincolnshire. Their photographer is CRB checked and LWAC hold a
copy of the CRB certificate. Any parent with any concerns about
this should contact the club's Welfare Officer, Chairman or Secretary.
Monday 15th January 2007:
More success to report from the North Midlands XC League. Congratulations to
the U15 Boys team on being the only LWAC team to place in the top 3 with
their 2nd place in the series. Well done to Stuart Campbell, Joe
Dunderdale, Jack Thomas, Jack Skeet and particularly to Ian
Maplethorpe who ran all 4 races, improving his finishing position with
every race.
Monday 15th January 2007:
Geoff Powley reports on LWAC
performances at the recent County XC Championships.
Sunday 14th January 2007:
Congratulations to Harriet Canter, who clinched the Senior Women's trophy for this
season's North Midlands Cross Country League with a good run for 5th place in
yesterday's final race of the series which took place at Wollaton Park
in Nottingham. Also deserving of a mention is Bo Haywood, who
won every U11 Girls race in the series to take the U11 Girls title.

Saturday 6th January 2007: The
programme
for tomorrow's County XC Championships is now available.
Parking for the event is at the Cattle Market (further into Louth
centre along London Road from the course location).
