Wednesday 24th March 2004:
The results
of last Sunday's Farmyard Frolics are now available.
Unfortunately, there appear to be some significant problems with the
times and hence there are virtually no team results.
Tuesday 23rd March 2004:
Well done to Simon Bell who ran 56:05 in a windy 10 mile race at
Haaksbergen in Holland on Sunday. Simon had been invited top
compete in this 10th anniversary race as he won the first race 10
years ago. He will continue his
globetrotting by competing in a race in Germany next weekend.
Tuesday 16th March 2004:
Congratulations to all LWAC athletes who competed in the World
Masters Indoor Championships in Germany last week. A report
will hopefully follow soon when one of the attendees produces it.
Sunday 14th March 2004:
Results from yesterday's English
Schools XC Championships in Maidstone are now available from the
ESAA website.
Tuesday 9th March 2004:
Anthony Gerundini belatedly reports on the Sleaford
Half Marathon.
Monday 8th March 2004:
There's a new competition
to win some new running kit on the BBCi in Lincolnshire web site.
All you have to do is send in a photo of you in your old kit and say
why you should be the one to receive the new kit.
Sunday 7th March 2004: The
LincolnTri club have announced dates for the Woodhall Spa Sprint
Triathlon (6th June) and the Horncastle Children's Triathlon (20th
June).
Saturday 6th March 2004: Results
for today's Inter-Counties XC Championships are now available on
the UK Athletics web site.
Thursday 4th March 2004:
Don't forget to check out page 12 of this week's Athletics Weekly,
where there is a feature on the Haywood family, and their dedication
to running.
Tuesday 2nd March 2004:
Congratulations to Jenny Pacey, who broke 2 club
records (pentathlon and high jump) whilst competing
for Great Britain in a combined events meeting in France at the weekend.
Saturday 28th February 2004: Information about next
weekend's Inter-Counties XC is now available on the Lincs
Athletics Association web site.
Thursday 26th February 2004: Jane Ramsden joins our
reporting team with a write up on last Saturday's National
XC Championships in Leeds.
Wednesday 25th February 2004: Rob Lewis reports on last
weekend's BMAF
Indoor Championships in Cardiff.
Monday 23rd February 2004: Adam Hanson took photos
of Blue Haywood during her successful run at Leeds on Saturday.
Sunday 22nd February 2004: Anthony Gerundini reports on
last weekend's St.
Valentines 30k in Stamford.
Saturday 21st February 2004: Congratulations to all
LWAC runners who competed in today's National
XC Championships. A special mention must go to Blue Haywood
who ran a stunning race to take the U13 Girls championship in
convincing style.
Friday 20th February 2004: The list of club
coaches has been updated to reflect recent courses and CRB
clearances.
Saturday 7th February 2004: Rob Lewis reports on the North
of England Cross Country Championships, including the excellent
performance by the U13 Girls in winning the team gold.
Thursday 5th February 2004: The 'Working with Children'
course that was originally going to be held in Lincoln last November
has been re-arranged for Sunday 15th February between 9am and 5pm at
Birchwood Leisure Centre. The people who were scheduled to
attend the original course have a place on the re-arranged course.
Sunday 25th January 2004: The results
from the North of England Cross Country Championships are now
available. Congratulations to our U13 Girls who won the team
prize in their age group.
Saturday 17th January 2004: The date of the Anglian
Schools XC Championships has apparently been changed to 7th
February. They will take place at the Royal Hospital School,
Holbrook, near Ipswich.
Tuesday 13th January 2004: Results of Sunday's Lincs
League Cross Country races in Skegness are now available.
Monday 12th January 2004: Rob
Lewis reports on the Lincs County XC Championships.
Wednesday 7th January 2004: The results
of the Lincs County XC Championships are now available.
Thursday 1st January 2004: A very happy New Year to all
of our club members and friends.
