Monday 17th March 2003: The Lincoln Tri group are
staging two triathlons aimed at newcomers to the sport. The
first is for people aged 15 upwards and will take place at Woodhall
Spa on 1st June. The second is for children aged 8 to 14 and
will be held in Horncastle on 15th June. For more details go to

Sunday 16th March 2003: Many happy returns to Dave
Humberstone, who today is celebrating the fact that he has become a
'Master' - that's 'Veteran' to the non-PC athlete.
Saturday 15th March 2003: Rob Lewis reports on two
events from last weekend - the European
Veterans Indoor Championships in Spain and the English
Schools Cross Country Championships at Stanmer Park in Brighton.
Wednesday 12th March 2003: The LWAC Summer 5k Road Race
Series will run again this year at Yarborough Leisure Centre in

Tuesday 11th March 2003: Read Anne
Gilroy's report of the recent London Half Marathon. Full
results of Saturday's English Schools Cross Country Championships are

Monday 3rd March 2003: Results for yesterday's London
Half Marathon are now available. Well done to LWAC's five
representatives in the race.
Monday 3rd March 2003: The programmes for this year's Lincs League
Track and Field matches are now available. The rules for the league have
also been updated and are available on the Lincs League web site. Click

Monday 24th February 2003: Rob Lewis reports on last
week's BMAF Indoor
Championships in Glasgow and also Saturday's National
Cross Country Championships in London.
Wednesday 19th February 2003: Race for Life dates are
now available. There is no Lincoln race this year. The
nearest races are at Boston, Cleethorpes, Stamford or

Tuesday 18th February 2003: Results
from Sunday's St. Valentines 30k Relay are now available on the

Championships have been cancelled due to the bad weather.

Friday 24th January 2003: Rob Lewis has written a brief obituary
for Ken Barnsdale.
Tuesday 21st January 2003: It is with great sadness that we report
that Ken Barnsdale passed early away this morning. He will be sadly missed
by all involved in athletics across Lincolnshire and beyond. His funeral
will take place at Lincoln Crematorium at 3.10pm on Thursday 30th January.

Sunday 19th January 2003: Rob Lewis reports on last weekend's North
of England Indoor Combined Events Championships in Manchester and the 4th
Lincs League XC match in Louth.
Sunday 19th January 2003: Results
from the Cleethorpes New Year's Day 10k are now available on the Wolds Vets
club site.
Saturday 18th January 2003: Well done to all of the Lincoln
Wellington athletes who competed for the various districts in today's Lincolnshire Schools XC
Championships. Today's races will be used as the principal means of
determining qualifiers for the Anglian Schools XC Championships at South Common
on 1st February and the English Schools XC Championships in Brighton on 8th

Thursday 16th January 2003: The Lincolnshire Schools XC Championships
will take place on South Common this Saturday. The timetable for the races
is:- 12:00 U13 Girls (yr 7), 12:01 Senior Boys (yrs 12/13), 12:30 U13 Boys (yr 7),
12:33 Senior Girls
(yrs 12/13), 13:00 Junior Boys (yrs 8/9), 13:15 Junior
Girls (yrs 8/9), 13:35 Intermediate Girls (yrs 10/11), 13:50 Intermediate Boys
(yrs 10/11).
Thursday 16th January 2003: Entry forms for the Lincoln 10k race on
6th April are now available. Download
one from the City of Lincoln Council site. For other forthcoming road

Tuesday 14th January 2003: Results from the final Lincs League
Cross Country are now available on the Lincs
League site.
Sunday 12th January 2003: Check out a couple of photos of last
month's Lincs League race on West Common. The first shows the U11s
lining up for the start of their race. The second show Alice
Thomas, Emily Taylor and Sarah Coates running together at the front of the U17
Women's race. Many thanks to Boston

Friday 10th January 2003: Well done to all of the Lincoln
Wellington athletes who competed in today's Lincoln Schools XC
Championships. Runners who finished in qualifying positions will now go
forward to compete in the Lincolnshire Schools XC Championships on Saturday 18th
January at South Common in Lincoln.
Wednesday 8th January 2003: The Lincoln Schools XC Championships
will take place on South Common this Friday. The timetable for the races
is:- 12:30 Senior Boys (yrs 12/13), 12:31 U13 Girls (yr 7), 13:00 Senior Girls
(yrs 12/13), 13:01 U13 Boys (yr 7), 13:20 Junior Boys (yrs 8/9), 13:25 Junior
Girls (yrs 8/9), 13:45 Intermediate Boys (yrs 10/11), 13:50 Intermediate Girls
(yrs 10/11).

& District web site. Dave Humberstone took a few photos
of the U15 Girls race today (it's possible that my daughter may never speak
to me again because of the photo of her at the finish).
Thursday 2nd January 2003: Dates for the 2003 Louth AC Wolds Dash
series have been set. Find them on our Road

Wednesday 1st January 2003: Profiles for
