Sunday 16th December 2001:  Rob Lewis reports on the LWAC Annual Awards Evening took place on Friday.

Thursday 13th December 2001:  Read Rob Lewis's report on Matt Bowser's performance in the European Cross Country Championships.

Sunday 9th December 2001:  Matt Bowser had an excellent run in the European Cross Country Championships today, finishing 13th individual and part of the winning team.  See the results here.

Thursday 6th December 2001:  Results of the Eastern AA Cross Country Championships added.

Wednesday 28th November 2001:  Rob Lewis reports on 2 recent events, the Asda 1/3 Marathon and the Eastern Counties Cross Country Championships.

Wednesday 21st November 2001:  Wellington athletes turned in more good performances at the Reebok challenge in Margate last Sunday.  Read Rob's report here.  Results of the senior and junior races for men and women here.

Tuesday 20th November 2001:  UK Athletics are running a Level 2 coaching course in the East Midlands on 8/9 December, 26/27 January and 3 February.  Email Dave Humberstone or myself for details.

Sunday 18th November 2001:  Check out the Road and Trail Fixtures page for links to the results of today's Asda 1/3 Marathon and an entry form for next February's Sleaford 1/2 Marathon.

Wednesday 14th November 2001: I have finished re-organising the site.  If any broken links are found, please email me.  Read Rob Lewis's report on last weekend's National Cross Country Relays and the Lincs League Cross Country in Louth.

Monday 12th November 2001: The committee for the coming year was elected tonight.

Sunday 11th November 2001: The site is currently being re-organised.  You may find one or two broken links over the next week or so.  After that, I will hopefully be able to get back to a normal service.

Friday 9th November 2001:  LWAC athletes competed in various events last weekend.  Also the 2001 national rankings feature a number of our athletes. Read Rob Lewis's report here.  Also, the summer LWAC Road Race series results have been updated to include the Veteran Mens results.

Monday 5th November 2001:  Report and results from Saturday's Eastern Counties vs. RAF vs. Cambridge Univ cross country.

Sunday 4th November 2001:  Road race records and marathon rankings added.

Thursday 1st November 2001:  Read Rob Lewis's report on the weekend's National Road Relays in Sutton Park.

Sunday 28th October 2001: Nigel Winchcombe has stepped down from the club committee and from managing the web site to allow him to explore new avenues.  Simon Kimpton will take over the management of the club web site which can now be found at http://www.lwac.org.uk
Many thanks to Nigel for his work with the club and especially for getting the web site off the ground, and very best wishes to him for the future.

There were several good performances at Sutton Park today in the National Road Relays, with the outstanding effort coming from Rachael Nathan who ran the fastest leg overall in the U17 girls race.  Report to follow.

Friday 26th October 2001: Following on from Rachael Nathan's international selection at the end of the last track season another Lincoln Wellington member has received a call from the national selectors. Promising under 20 athlete Mathew Bowser, who was last season's North of England junior men's 3000 metres champion and who has already notched a couple of impressive wins during the cross country season, has been asked to represent England under 20's in a European cross cup match at Ghent in Belgium on November 4th.

Although he was hoping for an England vest this winter he did not expect it at this early stage and the Belgium race was not in his original plans. Needless to say he has accepted the invitation to run and will be hoping to make a good impression on the selectors with the European and World cross country championships very much in mind later in the season.
